- I was 'officially' diagnosed with NF 2 yrs ago, although I have known about NF my entire life. I hid from NF, just like my mother did...never really wanting to believe my reality. I have 3 brothers, 2 of whom, I have learned also suffer from this disease. NF was never to be talked about in our home...it always brought on guilt and anger, if we were to question it...so the kids learned to never bring it up. I have learned so much over the past 2 yrs, and have decided that I don't want to hide any longer. I embrace what is, and choose to live life to the very fullest. Two of my six children also have NF. With MRI's, Eye exams, growth charting, learning disabilities, brain tumors---we embrace it all. For we know that we are in the Lords mighty company!

ReplyDeleteI'm not sure where you want me to post something. So I will just type here. I want to tell you what a great job you are doing, with your blog. It really makes a different when we use the tools that are around us. It can make a differanc.
As most people know My name is Regge Bibbs and I created Just Ask Foundation. My story is that for many years, I didn't go anyplace and I missed out on the fun things in life. I was worried about how I would make people feel. And also worried about how people would make me feel. After I lost me brother due to nf. And finally being feed up. I came up with an idea. I wanted people to understand, And I wanted people to know it was ok, to JUST ASK! That way people that want to know can ASK. that way I would not need to approach people and tell them to ask.
